Koen Boeijinga is a saxophonist, woodwind-player, composer and improviser, based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. His music is strongly coloured by his fascination for soundtextures, nature and primitive cultures. Koen Boeijinga explores various eclectic sound worlds through improvisation, using saxophones and a diverse collection of wind-instruments. An intimate and trance-inducing solo performance, shaped by lyrical melodies, repetitive patterns, powerful drones and distinctive acoustic soundscapes.
