Biografie

Tulip Duo was born in Amsterdam in September of 2016.

The Duo is studying with Ilya Grubert, Maria Milstein, Frank van de Laar and Paul Scheepers and has various concerts scheduled for 2018 and 2019 in Holland and in Italy.

They already performed in Amsterdam and abroad and they have been also finalists of the Storioni Festival Prize.

Recently they have won the Fourth Prize at the OnStage International Competition and the Second Prize at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, winning a concert at the Royal Albert Hall of London.

The Duo have been admitted to the Masterclass in Lausanne during the summer of 2017 with Pierre Amoyal and Pavel Gililov, as one of the ten violin & piano duos selected out of all over the world applicants.

At the moment they are preparing for important competitions in 2018 in Europe and abroad, as well as enriching their repertoire.

 

Eleonora De Poi was born in Vittorio Veneto – Treviso/Italy in 1997.

She began studying violin in her town at the age of six with Carlo Zambon and in 2011 she enrolled the Conservatory “A.Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto (Treviso) where she was educated by Michele Lot and Stefano Pagliari and in 2016 she graduated with 10 cum lauda and honorable mention from the jury.

She studied Chamber Music with Domenico Nordio, Filippo Faes and Trio di Parma (composed by Ivan Rabaglia, Enrico Bronzi and Alberto Miodini).

She partecipated in several Masterclasses in Solighetto and Giavera del Montello (Treviso) with Massimo Belli, Giancarlo Nadai and Michele Lot; in Sappada (Belluno) with Giovanni Guglielmo and in Asolo (Treviso) with Fabian Rieser.

Until 2016 she was a student in the Winter Masterclasses with Ilya Grubert and Eliot Lawson at the “Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia” in Portogruaro (Venezia). In 2016 she also graduated at the Language High School “F. Da Collo” in Conegliano (Treviso). From 2016 she studies at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam with Ilya Grubert and Maria Milstein.

Activities as an artist:
She has played in several concerts in the area of Treviso as well as in other parts of Italy.

In 2007 she was chosen by Rassegna ESTA (Bologna) to play in the Opening Concert of the International String Instruments Congress in Cremona.

In 2011 she was invited to hold a concert in Duino (Trieste) at the “Scuola Internazionale di Musica da Camera – Trio di Parma”.

In 2012 she contributed to the realization of the Cd “In Omne Tempus” in Hamburg/Germany (Recorder: Kurt e Gerhard Rudschuck).

In 2013 she formed a violin and piano chamber duo called “Duo Centnoire” with which she has performed in several concerts and contests. During the summer of 2015 the Duo attended the International Masterclass in Duino (Trieste) held by “Trio di Parma” and was rewarded with a scholarship as best group.

From 2007 to 2012 she was a member of the Youth Venetian Orchestra “Ecce Gratum” under the direction of Francesco Pavan and later she was a member of the Youth Baroque Orchestra “Baroquip”. In both she has performed as part of the orchestra, as well as soloist. She was also the Co-Leader of the Conservatory Symphony Orchestra of Castelfranco Veneto.

Last year she played as soloist and in orchestra in the Wiener Konzerthaus.
She is often Concertmaster of several Italian Orchestras and she will be the Concertmaster of the Orchestra of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam from October 2017.

She has already scheduled during the year 2018 a lot of concerts in Italy, Austria, Germany, and Holland.

Awards:
2006: 2nd prize under the category of very young at the National competition “Città di Occhiobello” (Grosseto) and 3rdprize at the National competition “Giovani per I giovani”
2007: 1st prize at the “Incontri sul Palcoscenico” (ESTA) in Trento
2008: she won a scholarship offered by the “Scuola di Musica San Giuseppe” in Vittorio Veneto
2009: winner at the 4th International competition “Claudio Monteverdi” in Musile di Piave (Treviso)
2010: 2nd prize at the National Competition “Città di Riccione”
2011: 2nd prize at the 4th National Competition “Città di Giussano” (Monza), 1st prize at the “Incontri sul Palcoscenico” (ESTA) in Trento and 2nd prize at the International competition “Arte Musicale e Talento” in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza)
2012: she won the 3rd prize in the music chamber category and the 1st prize in the soloist category at the National competition “Un po’ di Note” in Occhiobello (Rovigo)
2013: 2nd prize (1st not assigned) at the International competition “Giovani Musicisti -Città di Treviso”, she was also awarded as best student with the scholarship “Zambon” by the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto and in may she received a Certificate of Merite at the “Barlassina International Young Talents Competition”. In October she was finalist at the 1st edition of the National Competition “Renato De Barbieri” in Mezzacorona (Trento) where she won the Concert prize “Comune di Lavis”
2014: she won the 1stprize with her composition “Libertas” at the first edition of the National contest “Al di qua e al di là del filo” for the Holocaust Remembrance Day.
2015: 2ndprize in the soloist category and 1st prize in the chamber music category at first edition of the “Premio Contea” (Treviso). In this year she also won the 2nd prize at the 7th edition of the International competition “Giovani Musicisti – Città di Treviso” with her Chamber Duo “Centnoire” and in September the same duo was one of the few Italian ensembles to be admitted to the 2nd round of the International Music Chamber competition “Salieri-Zinetti”.
2016: with “Scarlet Quartet’’ (String quartet, in which she plays as first violin) she has won 1st prize at the International Competition “Giovani Musicisti -Città di Treviso”; the 1st prize at the International Competition “Città Piove di Sacco”; 1st absolute prize at the International Competition “Città di Cittadella”; 1st absolute prize, the Special Prize “Crescendo” and the important Special Prize “Farulli” for the best string quartet at the International Competition “Premio Crescendo” of Florence.

 

Massimiliano Turchi was born in Forlì, Italy, on the 5th of October 1992.

He approached to music when he was a child showing a strong interest in playing the piano.

During his young period he studied first in the musical institute of his hometown, and later in the academic year 2011/2012 he entered the Bachelor piano course of M.° Luigi Tanganelli at the Conservatory “B.Maderna” of Cesena.

During his early years he won prizes in several national competitions (like the 3rd prize at the VIII National Piano Competition “Città di Riccione” and the 2nd prize at the XXV National Piano Competition “J.S. Bach” of Sestri Levante) and participated in some international ones; as well he studied Composition with M.° Alessandro Ardizzoni.

In 2011 he won the 2nd prize at the National Piano Competition “Giulio Rospigliosi” and on the 18th of March of the same year he achieved excellent success during his first soloist recital at the “Auditorium Cariromagna” of Forlì.

In 2012 he won the First prize at XI National Piano Competition “Calcit” of Arezzo and the First prize at the International Piano Competition “Città di Castiglion Fiorentino”.

In 2013 he won the first prize at XI national competition “Città di Riccione” and also he was admitted to the final of “Lions European Music Competition” held in Istanbul representing the country of Italy.

In the academic year 2013/2014 he has started to study at the “Liszt Music Academy of Budapest” during his Erasmus course, with M° Baranyay Laszlo. In this year he started also to concentrate part of his studies in chamber music groups, performing in Hungary the quintet of Schumann and in duo with the violinist Marta Bratkovic in the Liszt Ferenc Kameraterem Concert Hall.

In the year in Budapest he also followed masterclasses of Maurizio Baglini, Alexander Lonquich, Roberto Prosseda and Alan Walker.

In 2014 he won the Second Prize at International Piano Competition “Andrea Baldi” and he played also a recital in the Conservatory of Cesena “B.Maderna” for the music festival“Mercoledì Pianistici”. In the same year he graduated at the Conservatory of music “B.Maderna” with 110 cum laude.

In the same year he also won several competitions in duo with the violinist Nicoló Grassi, and they performed in many places in Rome, Cesena and in the north.

As a soloist in these years he also performed in different places in Italy, like Castrocaro, Florence and Garda.

He is now at the last year of Master in Piano Performance with Frank van de Laar at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

During these years he performed often in duo with the cellist Maya Fridman in many venues of Holland and with other chamber music groups, and as well he participated in some masterclasses including the one of Robert Levine, Hakon Autsbo, Frank Peters, John Rink
and others.

Since September 2016 he created the Tulip Duo with the violinist Eleonora De Poi. Together they have won the fourth prize at the OnStage Online Competition, the Second Prize at the “Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition” and they performed in Holland, Switzerland as well as at the Royal Albert Hall of London. They have also been admitted as one of the ten duos selected for the masterclass in Lausanne with Pavel Gililov and Pierre Amoyal.

He as been recently admitted to the International Piano Competition Istanbul Orchestra Sion and the European Piano Contest of Bremen, and he is booked for concerts in Holland for the year 2017/2018.
