Biografie

Nina Virant is currently finishing Amsterdam Conservatory, jazz voice program. Moving between folk, traditional music from different cultures, jazz and progressive rock, she is exploring more and more the performative, theatrical and storytelling aspect of the sound and music, and seeks for it’s “perfect” blend. She is a lead vocal in an international, Amsterdam based, 12-piece progressive rock/punk project with live electronics, playing Tim Smith’s compositions, BarmyFiveSeven. Being a part of the Contemporary Movement Theatre group Scriccioli, as well based in Amsterdam, she is one of the actors and performers in a theatre show “Echoes”, a current performance, based on actors’ personal stories.
