Biografie

Latvian mezzo-soprano Baiba Mīlberga was born in 1992 in Ventspils. Her path of musical studies started at the early age of 7 with violin lessons. Being finished with studying violin in 2008 she decided to continue with singing classes by enrolling in the classical singing department of the Ventspils musical high school. There she has been thought for four years by Latvian opera singers Karmena Radovska and Aivars Krancmanis.

During her studies she improved her technique in masterclasses with professors such as Joy Mammen, Pille Lill, Elisabeth Bengtson-Opitz, Ruth Frank, H.Helge Dorsch, and Andriana Yordanova. In 2014 she started her studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Here she’s been studying with professors like Pierre Mak, Valerie Guillorit and having masterclasses with Margaret Honig, Ira Siff and Jeff Cohen.

Currently she is studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with professor Don Marrazzo.
